TRAUMA/PTSD

Trauma is something we all deal with and understanding that trauma is a normal part of life is the first step towards healing.

GRIEF

Grief happens in many different ways. Whether through death, the ending of a relationship, loss of a job, etc. your grief is your own experience.

Burnout_edited.jpg

BURNOUT

Overdrive and demand can often drain you and you don’t recognize yourself anymore.

SELF WORK

We often lose ourselves in the experience of life. Working on finding ourselves, setting boundaries, and embracing our humanness can often make major changes in life.

THERAPY WITH KRISTEN

Kristen - Ft Worth.jpeg

I believe in the importance of recognizing your humanness and developing your strength and resilience.

When working with me, you’ll find grounded presence, discerning insight, and therapy that meets you where you’re at. I believe that healing happens in relationship, not in isolation. Every session is designed to honor your wisdom while expanding your resiliency and what you believe is possible.

Many clients come to me because they have tried therapy before and it hasn't been a good fit or they have had a difficult time meeting their goals. I love working with people who say, "I know what's wrong with me, I just don't know how to fix it." Talk therapy often isn't enough for those who want a true and authentic connection with themselves. We need more than coping skills and cognitive reprocessing techniques to get us to the life we crave. Therapy with me goes beyond the brain and into resiliency, expansion, and true change.

The first session will focus on us getting to know each other and to see if we will be a good fit. Future sessions will involve some talking and cognitive processing and other sessions will involve tracking body sensations, movement, and connecting with your true and authentic Self. I want to meet you where you are and will be the supportive person in the room to help you move past your self-limiting beliefs and safety styles.

My Focus in Therapy

  • Building a trusting, safe therapeutic relationship where you can be yourself.

  • Explore and develop your authenticity and be unapologetic about it.

  • Challenge your narrative of self, others, and the world around you.

  • Confront your trauma patterns and embrace safety and being your true self.

THERAPY WITH HILARY

Hilary 2.jpeg

My approach is collaborative, trauma informed, and grounded in nervous system awareness. I believe healing happens through safety, understanding, and connection rather than pressure or quick fixes. Therapy is tailored to your needs, your pace, and your capacity.

You can show up exactly as you are. Sessions may include conversation, reflection, movement, or regulation practices. You might find fidget tools, time spent on the floor, or different ways of engaging that support your nervous system. Therapy here is not about perfection or performance. It is about understanding yourself, unmasking, untangling limiting beliefs, and building self trust and regulation.

I work from a neurodivergent affirming perspective and believe different minds are valuable. Together we explore patterns with curiosity and compassion while creating change that feels sustainable in real life.

HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

Individual Therapy

One-on-one therapy for people who've tried handling it all—gracefully, thanklessly, and alone—and are ready for something different. Whether you're sorting through trauma, questioning everything, or just need a tune-up, this is a space to be real, be supported, and begin again. We help our clients in all life stages as they explore their relationship with themselves, others, time, institutions, and society's expectations and failings. Therapy with us is 100% personalized and collaborative—no “cookie-cutter” treatment plans here. Based on your goals, strengths, and needs, we pull pieces from different therapeutic approaches as we create your treatment plan together and in real time. We bring the building blocks, and we decide as a team what feels like a good fit for you, for now, and for the future.

Family Therapy

Families sometimes need a little help navigating both welcome milestones and challenging transitions: newborns, adopting a child, co-parenting after divorce, caring for ailing parents or a disabled family member, empty-nesting, and more. Kristen also supports families navigating the systemic barriers and cultural pressures that can complicate their relationships.
This service is open to families of two or more people (parents, children, extended family, siblings, multiple generations, foster family, adopted family, surrogates, etc.) The initial consultation can vary. For example, I might meet with the parents of young children or siblings who want to bring their aging parents to the intake. I meet with each person individually as well as the whole family as part of treatment planning
